Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Golden Designs sauna the same as a Dynamic sauna?
They are closely related. Golden Designs, Inc. is the parent company that builds several sauna lines, and Dynamic Saunas is its popular entry to mid-range infrared line. So every Dynamic sauna is a Golden Designs sauna, made to the same standards and backed by the same company, just sold under the Dynamic name. Golden Designs also makes the Maxxus infrared line and its own namesake traditional, hybrid, and barrel saunas.
What is a Golden Designs infrared sauna and how does it work?
A Golden Designs infrared sauna uses PureTech carbon Far Infrared heating panels to warm your body directly, rather than only heating the air like a traditional steam sauna. This delivers a deep, comfortable heat at lower air temperatures, which many people find easier to tolerate for longer, more relaxing sessions. Most infrared models simply plug into a standard household outlet.
How low is the EMF on Golden Designs saunas?
Golden Designs is known for some of the lowest EMF levels in the industry. Their PureTech carbon panels are rated Ultra Low EMF (under 3 milligauss measured 6 to 8 inches from the panel) on the Dynamic line, with Near Zero EMF options on select Golden Designs and Reserve Edition models. For context, many common household appliances emit more EMF than these panels.
What wood are Golden Designs saunas made from?
Golden Designs saunas are built from 100% real wood, either reforested Canadian Hemlock or Canadian Red Cedar, with double-paneled walls for better heat retention. There are no laminates or toxic glues, and the natural wood gives each sauna its clean look and pleasant aroma.
Are Golden Designs saunas hard to assemble?
No. Most Golden Designs infrared saunas use a simple buckle-together panel system and can be assembled in about an hour, often by one or two people without special tools. Infrared models run on a standard 120V household outlet, so there is usually no special wiring required.
What types of Golden Designs saunas are available?
Golden Designs offers a wide range: low EMF and full spectrum infrared cabins from 1 to 8 person, traditional steam saunas with Harvia heaters, hybrid saunas that combine a traditional heater with infrared panels, plus barrel and outdoor models. Whatever style you prefer, you can stay within the same trusted brand.
What is full spectrum infrared, and which models have it?
Full spectrum infrared combines near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths in one cabin, so you get the benefits of all three ranges. Golden Designs offers full spectrum on select Dynamic, Maxxus, and Reserve Edition models, many of which also feature near zero EMF carbon panels and extras like chromotherapy lighting.
Are Golden Designs saunas certified and warrantied?
Yes. Golden Designs builds to ISO 9001 manufacturing standards, and their saunas carry ETL and CE safety certifications. Every sauna is backed by a 5-year warranty, so you can buy with confidence.
