The Sweat Cabin (4 Person Sauna)
Cedar saunas are prized for Western Red Cedar, the wood that best handles steam, humidity, and daily heat cycles. Our cedar collection spans 53 builds from Finnish Sauna Builders and Sweat Kingdom, from indoor cut-to-fit sauna rooms to outdoor cedar cabins, all made in the USA.
- Match the space: pick a cut-to-fit room for a basement or spare corner, or an outdoor build for a deck, patio, or backyard.
- Know the wood: cedar resists moisture and rot, stays cool to the touch on benches, and carries a natural aroma many bathers love.
- Compare heat styles: most cedar rooms run on a rock heater, so weigh them against our traditional saunas before you buy.

Cedar Sauna FAQ
Why are cedar saunas so popular?
Cedar saunas use Western Red Cedar, which resists moisture and rot, stays cool to the touch on benches, and gives off a natural aroma. That mix of durability and comfort makes it the classic sauna wood.
Are these cedar saunas indoor or outdoor?
Our cedar collection includes both indoor cut-to-fit sauna rooms and outdoor cedar builds, so you can place one in a basement, spare room, deck, or backyard. All are made in the USA by Finnish Sauna Builders and Sweat Kingdom.
What is the difference between a cedar sauna and a hemlock sauna?
Cedar is aromatic and highly moisture and rot resistant, while hemlock is lighter colored, more stable, and nearly scent free. Compare both in our hemlock saunas collection if aroma sensitivity matters to you.
Do cedar saunas require a lot of maintenance?
Not much. Cedar naturally resists moisture and rot, so routine care is mostly wiping down benches and letting the room dry between sessions. Its cool-to-the-touch surface also makes bench upkeep easier.
Are cedar saunas traditional or infrared?
Most cedar builds in this collection are heated by a rock heater, making them traditional saunas. If you want to compare heating styles, browse our traditional saunas collection.
