How is The Sweat Cabin different from a barrel sauna?
Two big things: vertical walls and a flat floor. You get full headroom across the entire interior instead of losing it as the barrel curves. Tall users, especially 6 feet plus, almost always prefer the Cabin. The flat floor is also more stable underfoot and easier to clean.
6-foot or 7-foot walls. Which should I pick?
Pick 6 feet if your sauna will live in a basement or garage with limited ceiling height. Pick 7 feet for outdoor placement, taller users, or anyone who wants the most spacious interior. The 7-foot version is the more popular outdoor choice.
Can I put it outdoors?
Yes, but you should add the Cedar Beveled Roof for any uncovered placement. The cabin assembles tightly but is not 100% waterproof. If you want a unit engineered specifically for full outdoor exposure, look at the Blackout Edition or The Summit.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. The heater runs on a dedicated 240V hardwired line. Harvia 8kW needs a 40 AMP breaker with 8/2 wire. HUUM 9kW needs a 50 AMP breaker with 6/3 wire. Budget $300-$1,500 for a licensed electrician depending on your panel location.
How fast does it heat up?
The Sweat Cabin takes 45 to 90 minutes to reach session temperature, depending on outdoor conditions, target temperature, and which heater you choose. With a WiFi heater, you can preheat from your phone on the drive home.
What is the warranty?
The Sweat Cabin includes a 3-year limited warranty backed by Sweat Kingdom and supported by Saunass.
