What exactly does the blackout package add?
Two additional layers of weatherproofing on the side walls and roof, plus a weather-sealed black exterior treatment on the cedar. The interior is the same premium Western Red Cedar as the standard Cabin.
Should I buy the Sweat Cabin or the Blackout Edition?
If your sauna will live under a roof, such as a covered patio, garage, or finished basement, the standard Sweat Cabin gets you the same interior experience for less money. If it will sit uncovered in any climate, especially cold or wet, step up to the Blackout Edition for the extra weatherproofing.
Will it heat faster than the standard Cabin?
Warm-up time is similar at 45 to 90 minutes, but the Blackout Edition holds heat longer once you reach temperature and warms back up faster after water pours. Over years of use, that can translate to lower electricity costs.
Does it come in colors other than black?
The standard Blackout Edition is blacked out. Custom color requests are available by request through Sweat Kingdom. Contact us before ordering if you want a custom finish.
6-foot or 7-foot walls. Which should I pick?
Same logic as the standard Cabin. Pick 6 feet for shorter spaces or 7 feet for full standing headroom. The 7-foot version is the more popular outdoor choice.
Can I put it indoors?
Yes, but you do not need the Blackout Edition for indoor or covered placements. If your sauna will live indoors, in a garage, or under a covered patio, the standard Sweat Cabin gets you the same interior for less money.
What is the warranty?
The Sweat Cabin Blackout Edition includes a 3-year limited warranty backed by Sweat Kingdom and supported by Saunass.
