It is designed and approved for the wood-heated Harvia 16 / Linear 16 stove.

What does the sheath do?

It considerably reduces the safety distance to combustible materials, which in practice makes the stove fit in a smaller space.

Can it go on either side?

Yes. This is the one-sided version and it can be installed on either side of the stove. For side and rear coverage, the WL475 is available.
